The best part about being a therapist is hearing other people’s stories and experiences. In my own, I am a registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), having completed my Masters in Narrative Therapy and Community Work at the University of Melbourne. My current therapeutic focus is helping women on improving their relationships. For six years, I have worked in social services supporting youth and families as a counsellor, and outside of Good Talk Therapy, I am also a regular counsellor at a pediatrics clinic.
INFORMATION ABOUT MY SERVICES More of My StoryParents of the teens I’ve worked with tend to ask me, “Aren't you a bit young to work as a family therapist?”. Well, I was born in Hong Kong in the 80's and came to Canada in grade four – so let's do the math. Can I still speak Cantonese fluently? Yes. But writing? Not so much. Outside of work, my dogs are my pride and joy. “Chewy” a King Charles X Poodle and “Gerbil-Chichi” is a Chihuahua mix. On the off-chance I have spare time, I enjoy playing with hair and makeup and watching interior design videos on YouTube. However, nothing beats watching a good movie on the big screen with extra butter on my popcorn. Guess it’s fate that I live five minutes away from a Cineplex!
